case : client applies for dla. no evidence from gp sent as client hardly ever sees gp as doesnt like her, and so gp doesnt know half of clients problems.evidence from husband & son sent with diary from client also.client receives emp appt for the next day,very worried as doesnt like doctors etc (client also suffers with stress,anxiety,mood swings and depression)appt time comes & goes client very stressed out by this point.we phone for her to get told emp cant make it & client gets offered another appt which she declines as she 'cant go through the worry and stress again'.she then gets refused dla on the grounds they were looking at hr mob which they cant award if client has refused an emp visit,the fact they didnt keep the original appt doesnt seem to count.a recon was put in pointing theses things out & enq how the whole dla can be refused when there were also clealy care needs.any ideas/facts greatly appreciated.
