IB appeal
Mon 21-Jul-08 10:23 AM

I have a lady who has failed the PCA & been told by local Jobcentre Plus
that she cannot claim either jobseekers or IS until she has her IB appeal form in. Any comments much appreciated.

She can't claim reduced rate IS until she has submitted an appeal. We usually fax a copy of the appeal to IS, as well as IB, if client wants to claim IS not JSA, so that they can continue payment.

JSA is either a misunderstanding or it's cobblers - there is nothing at all to prevent a JSA claim, with or without an appeal.
