Sorry - have to blow off steam. I'm normally really laid back and calm, but actually want to go and punch a wall until my fists bleed after conversation with the pension service. I've been working with an elderly couple for some time and taken them through AA claims, a successful tribunal and then CA and PC appns. Just got PC decision forwarded from them 'not entitled'. Rang new claims to check that correct premiums applied, only to be told I am 'not on list' so can't be told anything. I patiently explained that I was rep, could amply demonstrate implied consent or answer security questions, and was not asking about payments, bank accounts etc., but was still refused. I then asked to speak to a manager and was put on to the team leader. She agreed that as I was not on the list I could not be told anything. At this point my composure slipped a little. I pointed out that I was asking if 2 SDPs and 2 carer premiums had been applied to the calculation. I had already told her that I helped them both claim AA, and I knew they both had underlying entitlement to carers allowance, and that they lived alone. What exactly would she be telling me if she answered my question?????? Still no!!! Had to end call before I said something I would regret. I know how Michael Douglas felt in that film!!!
