I have a case of a client who has been overpaid WTC for the past two years. He is 75 and until recently still working ! He has been informed that he will have to repay his overpayment by monthly instalments. He currently has no WTC entitlement. It appears that he will not receive the protection afforded to him in regard to HB if he still had a WTC entitlement i.e that HB would deduct from his WTC the deduction for the recovery of the overpayment and that HB will be calculated without taking into account the instalment for the overpayment.
