IIDB and REA.
Tue 09-May-06 11:09 AM

DOES IIDB continue to be paid after retirement age?And is it taken into account re Pension Credit assessment.
I understand REA is replaced by Retirement Allowance after pension age.Is this correct?
Thanks.

Pretty sure IIDB can continue to be paid after someone reaches retirement age. It is taken into account in the calculation of Pension Credit (except for Constant Attendance Allowance and Exceptionally Severe Disablement Allowance which are disregarded in full.)

re rea - my understanding is that if the application for REA is only made after retirement, then it is payable as such ....
