to my friend and former colleague Angela Williams who does her last day's second tier Welfare Benefits consultancy today after XX years as a Welfare Benefits specialist.

Angela will be known to many of you for her support and wise words - often ringing in on her day off with an inspired (and often successful!) line of argument which had come to her in the middle of the night.

Angela worked for many years in bureau providing direct support to clients and worked as a trainer for Citizens Advice. Over the last few years she has been part of the Citizens Advice Specialist Support team who have provided support and training to advisers and advocates both inside and outside the CAB service.

Angela is not leaving the service completely but is about to become the information officer for Wales, monitoring the legislative impact of the Welsh Assembly Government across all subject areas for the benefit of all Welsh CABx.

I would like to invite all of Angela's friends in the world of Welfare Benefits to raise an e-glass to her and to wish her well in her new role.

This is like friends reunited - it's good to be back in touch with Jen of Colwyn Bay and a shame to know that she too is leaving the wonderful world of welfare benefits - at least until she can be persuaded to become a wing member!
