More than one non dependant
Fri 15-Aug-08 10:06 AM

Hello all

A quick and easy couple of questions I hope,

(1) Where a client has two non dependants living with her that are being counted as two non dependants deductions for HB/CTB, and then the client is awarded DLA care component, do both non dependents cease to be non depenent deductions, or is it just one per DLA award.

(2) Where a client has two non dependants living with her but one is on IS and uner 25 so does not count as a NDD, and the client is awarded DLA care component, will they both not count as NDD or is it just one per household.

I can't beleive in all the time I have been doing this, that I have never come across a client with more than one non dependant, and all the information I looked at said where a non dependent was not a NDD, not where non dependants were NDD, which set me wondering.
