Have same problem myself.
I have spoken to Connexions and the Learning and Skills council, who run the scheme.
Basically, they don't know the answer - they think that the children should not qualify for CB / CTC, but they don't understand the eligibility rules for CB / CTC.
In my case, the child is attending college, and I think is in relevant education. If she is, I think she qualifies for CB / CTC, and her payments from e2e do not affect these claims - unless something has been included in CB or CTC regs which says different.
The fact of having a training allowance does not disqualify them of itself, as far as I can see. Indeed, EMA is specifically paid alongside CB and CTC.
Clearly a child on e2e who cannot satisfy the qualifying conditions for CB could not claim. Important points here seem to be about relevant education, "employed trainees" and employement per se.
I am going to have to check the regs.
Has anyone seen any amendments to either CB or CTC which relate specifically to e2e? E2e was introduced in July 2003.
