GP also EMP?
Tue 01-Mar-05 11:29 AM

Have received a letter from a local GP saying how he does not provide reports to advocacy agencies as there is no evidence they make a difference to the appeal process, they are not required by to allow the appeal process to go forward, to seek confirmation of an illness suggests we do not trust the patient, and our role is simply to help the patient circumnavigate the established process of obtaining medical information! Yeah right, whatever!

Before I reply I want to find out if this GP is also an EMP but can't find where I can get this info? Any help most appreciated.

Surely under the Freedom of information SEMa, or whoever they are now should be able to confirm if GP is an EMP or provide you with a list of EMP's in your area. I remember many years ago I tried to get a list from them, without success, but now it may be different.
Good luck!
