Winter Fuel Payments - not a topic for sunny(ish) day Thu 29-May-08 10:06 AM
As a result of pensions reform the minimum age at which both men and women will be able to receive a Winter Fuel Payment will rise incrementally to 65 between 2010 and 2020.
From 2010 the age from which you can get Pension Credit will gradually increase. This will be in line with the State Pension age becoming 65 for women as well as men by 2020.
With the recent increases in fuel prices, this will have an impact on fuel poverty in general and in possibly a greater impact on those with disabilities that limit mobility, unless the DWP decide to give the Winter fuel payment to those in receipt of DLA.
