Proof reading of 'Benefits Pack'
Wed 16-Mar-05 02:07 PM

I am a Sure Start funded benefits advisor, working in Deptford and New Cross, London, and have been asked to produce a basic benefits pack for parents. It will be A5 size and approx 20 pages, on benefits, entitlement, how to claim, etc. It will obviously contain basic information only. For content accuracy, I need someone to proof read it. Does any one know of anyone or an organisation that could do this and if so, what would be the cost?

Also, do not want to reinvent the wheel, so if there is anything similar out there that I could use, please let me know.

Any advice or comments on what I'm proposing would be gratefully received.

Thanks,

Elena.

You can get basic benefits information on family benefits from the maternity alliance and the TUC have an excellent website called workSMART, the NCT web-site gives a list of useful web-sites.

This unit has produced a couple of booklets which we call "Quids for kids" & "Quids for disabled kids"

I would be happy to send you a copy if you give me an address to send them to.

Although the the Local Government Association's campaign has itself has come to an end, information about it, together with a range of take-up related materials, can be accessed via the Quids for Kids area of rightnset swopshop.
