Children/young people who are married

Can you still claim CTC if the child is married? I know you can't claim Child Benefit and I'd assumed it would be the same for CTC but can't find anything that confirms or denies.

Just a thought. The CTC claimant has to be "responsible for" the child/YP. Does the YP's marriage mean that any parent's/guardian's responsibility for her/him ends?

(Apart from the perennial financial subsidising of them well into their twenties of course - bless 'em!)

Yes, thats pretty much the issue in a nutshell. In the particular case we have does the fact that the couple are separated make any difference (husband is abroad) leaving the female partner dependent on parents in uk?
