Hi all...

Have a cli. who is 59 and is on ICB with IS top up.

She is turning 60 next year, so will then be entitled to Ret. Pension and pension credit..

I am wondering if when she turns 60 whe will still receive the ICB or whether this will stop..

Looked on t'internet and the CAB sites states:

Incapacity Benefit is for people who cannot work, and stops when you reach state pension age or 65 or 70 (depending on the type of Incapacity Benefit). The age-related addition is paid if you were under a certain age when you became incapable of work.

Can anyone confirm whether ICB will stop on her 60 birthday...x

How long has she been on ICB?

She is on long term rate... dont know exactly how long though..

Entitlement to the long term rate ceases when a woman reaches 60 (section 30A(5) of The Social Secutity Contributions and Benefits Act 1992).
