tax credit renewals
Wed 28-Sep-05 12:44 PM

Revenue press release/reminder ....

'The renewal date is fast approaching for the more than six million families who receive tax credits to support their income.

Martin McDonnell, Revenue & Customs' spokesperson said:

"Everyone who receives tax credits has to renew their claim by 30 September each year otherwise payments stop. This is to ensure that the amount they receive accurately reflects their personal circumstances ....

If your claim for tax credits has not been renewed by 30 September, then payments will stop, and a new claim has to be lodged. Families' claims for tax credits must be renewed every year, so don't get caught out - renew today, don't delay.'

From the low incomes tax reform group -

'For income tax self-assessors, 30 September is an important date, but not a deadline as such. For tax credits claimants, it is a deadline not to be missed. In this article we look at what it is useful to have done, and what must be done, by that date .......'
