The Maternity Alliance has produced a Calendar of Maternity Rights and Benefits to ensure that pregnant women and new parents know exactly what they are entitled to and when they should be claiming it, right through from the early weeks of pregnancy to a year after the baby is born.

The calendar sets out in a clear, easy to understand format the money new parents can claim. It has a summary of minimum legal rights and benefits new families are entitled to, such as 13 weeks parental leave and 26 weeks paid maternity leave, and a useful column so that pregnant women and new mothers can write in their own dates. The calendar will be fully updated in April to reflect the increases in maternity pay and benefit rates.
