I work for a team that provides support for careleavers in the community. Access to reasonable accommodation is constant problem. One of the strategies is for our team to lease a private property and then let it to a young person under a formal agreement. I costed out a full rent including cost of the lease plus additional costs for management, additional decorating expenditure, replacement of furniture, repairs, CH servicing, security, etc. This has lead to successful HB claims with eligible rents from £125 to £138 per week.
