I have a case were the clmt was renting from her ex-husband we have paid HB for many years.The ex-husband has now died leaving the property to his 2 daughters,who have told their mother she can stay in the property for life rent free.
My query is the period bewteen the ex dying and Probate being proven should HB continue to be paid to the Ex`s estate? until such time as the property becomes legally the daughters?

I think the question is does she still have a liability for this period? If she does then , yes benefit is payable.
