My client has lived in the UK for 2.5 yrs and is a worker. His wife and 5 kids still live in Poland and have never been to England. The clinet claimed WTC/CTC as a single claimant. The claim has been rejected and he has been told to make a new joint claim.

Is this right?

The client does not want to do this because he does not think his wife should have a NI number.
