Hope someone can help. Have a client that has been refused Social Fund Funeral Payment as the body was donated for medical research and therefore there was no ''burial or cremation''. Client's costs include Undertakers costs and memorial service. Can anyone one give me any advice as this is not one I've come across before.

The SF regs define "funeral" as a buriel or cremation. The commentary in Mesher says that this is quite separate from any memorial service.
