With the permission of Rightsnet, I have taken the liberty of starting a new thread to highlight a possible loophole already mentioned by other posters in other threads. For example:

In short, it appears that if a statement of reasons is requested (no time limit), an appeal can still be requested within 14 days of the SoR being issued - irrespective of whether or not the normal "maximum" 13 month appeal period has expired.
So, this is very much a case of "...use it while you can..."
