Health Outreach Worker CAB
Tue 27-Jul-04 02:39 PM

I am working on a Health Outreach Project in GPs surgeries in Liverpool. I would love to link up with people in other areas of the country who do the same thing. It would be great to share ideas and information.

Hi, I work as part of a small team of WROs employed by a Primary Care Trust. We run advice sessions in Health Centres/ GP's surgeries. Are we what you are looking for?

Hi Catya

I saw your message on the discussion forum and noted that your project is funded by your local PCT. Is your project fully funded by the PCT or do you work directly for the PCT. Also could you let me know how many workers you have and how many surgeries/health centres you cover. I am happy to share same information with you. Thanks Debbie Nolan

Hi Debbie, sorry for the delay in replying. I'm not sure why my name came up as Catya - I think one of my colleagues must have already been logged onto the system when I sent my message, so her name came up instead. I'm Lisa!

We are a small team of Welfare Rights Advisers and Community Counsellors employed directly by Nottingham City PCT, we have existed since 1996. Would be happy to talk/correspond with you some more - please 'mail me at lisa.warren@nottinghamcity-pct.nhs.uk.

Hi,

Just got back from holiday, sorry about the delay in replying to your message.

Yes, you are what what I am looking for. There seem to be many different projects involving advice in a health setting around the country. I thought it would be useful to share tips and ideas.

Interested? Contact me and I will tell you more..

My e-mail address is debbiecrew@blueyonder.co.uk

Debbie

Hello Debbie

My name is Debbie Nolan and I co-ordinate Garston CAB's Health & Advice Project. The project has been operating in the South Liverpool area for nearly 10 years and has been the subject of an independent evaluation by Liverpool university's health & community care research unit. I am happy to discuss the project and its working arrangements with you.
