Hi, I have appealed against a funeral grant decision and have a review coming up. The SF gave 2 different reasons for refusual - first stating that the deceased was not a UK citizen and second that the application was not made by an immediate family member.

Both are incorrect as the deceased had indefinite leave to remain and was receiving MIG & AA and her daughter claimed the funeral payment who was her 24 carer. The daughter and her brothers were all claiming benefits at the time and she was the most suitable as the others suffer with mental illness.

I don't know what else to state!
