Adviser magazine needs editorial board member for benefits team ...
Mon 08-Aug-05 10:38 AM

The Adviser magazine is looking for an additional Adviser editorial board member for the Benefits team.

As part of the overall editorial board, you will help review proposed articles in all subject areas covered by the magazine. Within the benefits team, you will contribute to discussions on benefits articles to be included in future editions, commission authors, comment on articles and assist in revising them, and be expected to write at least one article a year.

We are looking for someone with a good knowledge of welfare benefits law, aware of forthcoming developments, and ideally involved in front-line advice. You must be able to commit six days a year (currently Fridays) to attend meetings held alternately in London and Birmingham. The position is unpaid but your travel expenses will be covered.

We would particularly welcome applications from disabled people or members of ethnic minorities, who are at present under-represented on the board.

If you are interested, please email your CV to the subject editors, Fiona Seymour and Kate Smith (see email addresses below) by 1st September 2005 telling us something about yourself and your experience in benefits advice. The full Editorial Board will meet on 2/9/05 to discuss applications.
