Tue 15-Feb-05 01:05 PM

Help. Client is receiving money into her post office account that is not hers. DWP and DBU know nothing about it - amounts total £947.00 to date. Entries state Income Support SSA and AA SSA as opposed to her correct pension credit payment which is Income Support DWP. Don't know what this money is or where its coming from. Help Pls

The SSA reference usually means Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) I believe. Any links there ? It couldn't be an error surely?

Thanks - no links though am certain that it is an error but am at a loss to know what to do. I think she is getting someone's Income Support and someone else's Attendance Allowance. OOPS!! Have written to DWP, DBU and Post Office but no-one seems to want to know. Watch this space!!

I had similar case, with 2 weeks Income Support being paid into clients account by mistake. It was only a small amount and the client has now spent it. It seemed to be completely untraceable, and we just gave up after many phone calls and letters.
