We've got a client (a lone parent with a disabled 11 year old son) whose disability Scooter needs estimated £400 worth of repairs, she is profoundly deaf, her mobility to mobilise outdoors is dependent on a scooter or a wheelchair due to scerosis of back and arthritis, attends a day care centre.
Leaving aside the limited info above we feel she has a case under directions 4 (a) (ii); 4 (a) (iii). I can't see an argument for excluded items, but i'm wondering if there is an argument that Social Services have a responsibility.
Any thoughts, ideas, advice etc would be as usual really appreciated.
