My client's GP is refusing to complete the statement part of a DLA form. This was discussed on Rightsnet a few years ago. Can anyone find the link to the thread Thanks

I can't remeber the exact thread but I wouldn't worry about this. I rarely ask clients to get their GP to complete any of the form as you tend to find that a large number of GPs use it to list the claimants illnesses and give no indication as to their limitations. I would advise the client to suibmit the form to ensure that if there is an award its awarded as soon as possible. I've lost count of the number of clients who have chosen to get a statement from their GP who have missed deadlines and lost money due to waiting for the GP to complete the form.
