Does anyone have a list of the codes used for direct payments that will appear in clients bank statements? For example CHB and then an NI number would indicate a payment of Child Benefit.

As a second-tier advice organisation we would find it very useful to have such a list.

Just replying to myself - have got this list eventually from friendly DWP direct payments person.

Could you post it here as a link or somesuch? It would be invaluable for many of us!

My understanding from the DWP locally is that the issuing bank decides what goes on the statement. Within the same DWP district the codes appear to be shown on some customers statements but not others, depending which bank they are with. Also where 2 or more benefits are combined for payment (eg RRP and AA) only the lead payment is shown, as now.
