standard interst rate for housing costs
Wed 28-Feb-07 04:46 PM

hi peeps

Does anyone have a list of all standard mortgage interest rates since 1995? It must be out there somewhere: I just can't find it and don't know where to look.

Muchas gracias

Institute for fiscal studies website is the usual place to look for stuff like this but it doesn't seem to be on there. Here's the link anyway:

You will find them printed in the 2004 edition of Social Security Legislation (Wood, Poynter, Wikely & Bonner) in the commentary to IS regs, Sched 3 para 12. Since 28 November 2004 the standard rate has been calculated by (Bank of England Base rate) + 1.58%. From 18 February 2007 it is 6.83%.
