Capita's Academy for Landlords
Fri 23-May-08 12:38 PM

Not exactly a benefit query..

But noticed a lot of people on here work for RSL's..

Do any of you know whether your rents team use Academy for Landlords.. As we are looking into it.. But wonder how much information is given and whether it is a useful tool in assessing HB info..

I realise it will not have all the information that Academy for LA's have due to data protection.. But still..

Neither do we I'm afraid.

In fact, I've never heard of it, although I did use Academy when I last worked for a Local Authority. What does it do exactly?

However! One or two of the authorities we work with do have a facility that allows us to access, online, basic information about claims where we are receiving payment. I think they are Academy sites. Is this what you mean? If so I wholeheartedly endorse it. It is a good, reliable, easy to use system, that really does reduce the number of calls we need to make to their customer service reps.

It is supposed to be a versian of the LAs Academy.. but obviously wont have as much info.. due to data protection...

Thats what I was wondering to be exact.. what info can be taken from it.. On Academy for LA's you can check claim status and what info is required to make a claim assessable, amongst other things..

But what does Academy ofr Landlords hold...?

our homeless unit has direct (read only) access to academy and its siter COMINO document scanning.... excellent system.... tenant gets served notice for rent arrears... HB stopped...phones us... we check academy and find out why... get it re-instated... etc... also allows us to directly pick up and challenge any of their mistakes.
