LHA:are contractual tenancy rent increases exempt from 52 week rule?
Wed 05-Nov-08 07:11 AM

Under the pre-April 08 rules, rent increases for contractual tenancies (i.e. those with pre-set increases) can be referred to the Rent Offer at any time without waiting for 52 weeks to elapse. Just wondered if there is any similar provision under LHA or if contractual tenants loose this advantage if they transfer to LHA?

No, that provision does not exist in LHA. About the only thing which can trigger a fresh LHA amount under LHA earlier than 52 weeks is a change in the household.
