Can she claim anything?
Wed 29-Jul-09 10:25 AM

Hi,

I have a client of whom at present is working full time. She has just been told that she'll need an operation and her GP has advised her that she needs to reduce her working hours as it is not doing her health any good. She is 25 years old and still lives at home with her parents. She's is very worried as she cannot afford to work less hours. Is there anything she could claim to help out financially?

Would she meet the criteria for DLA? If she does, any rate would passport her to claiming WTC via the disability route (therefore, as long as working 16+ hours pw, she could claim WTC).
