Help us improve advicelocal
Hi there -
We launched our advicelocal.uk website just over a year ago, and are keen to hear your views on what you like and don’t like, and if there are any changes we could make to better meet your / your clients’ needs.
We’d also like to hear from you even if you haven’t visited the site before. Your feedback on how you might use advicelocal would be really useful. (If you want to see the site before taking the survey, go to advicelocal.uk and pop in your postcode to see how it works.)

Thanks in advance ....
Cheers - Shawn
Correct me if I am wrong but when you put in the clients postcode- on the map it shows the advice centres location but does not actually show where the client is living in relation to that on the map. If that makes sense?

Hi there ... thanks for this .... yes, that’s right, we don’t currently include a ‘you are here’ pin ..... this is in part because we don’t always require a postcode to generate one of our advice directory maps ... and so in that situation we don’t know where you are!
For example, if you go via our ‘Find an adviser’ page, you can ‘search by location’ and get a map like this one by selecting the area of the country you’re interested in: https://advicelocal.uk/find-an-adviser/greater-manchester
Similarly, if you want to grab a URL of your local advice map to add to your website, again we don’t require a postcode ... see: https://advicelocal.uk/your-local-advice-map
Will add it as a feature request though in relation to our postcode-generated pages.
Thanks again ...
Cheers - Shawn
