Well, I'm actually trying to work out the law behind the assertion that a self employed person doesn't require registration and I've come across the accession act consisting of 5000 pages...NO. I like trees too much to start printing that.

So... looking at the regs, the A(IWR)regs deal solely with "workers" and a "self employed person" is definied differently under 1612/68 or possibly 1408/71.

I would hope there are no derogations witihin said 5000 page document regarding self employed people and hence the assertion that they don't have to register.

Am I on the right track?

And where is the list of derogations? I can't find it in the accession act, unless it buried in the protocols...
