Where decisions are made along the lines of "A doubt has arisen over your entitlement to JSA due to taking insufficient steps to find work ...for the period x to y ( 2 weeks normally ) " - JSA is suspended. Often the decision to actually confirm that benefit will not be paid is received sometime after this, and obviously this can be appealed.
I have clients who go on receiving their JSA without any problem at the end of the suspension period, and even after the decision is confirmed - however I now have a client who has been told that she has to do a rapid reclaim as her whole claim has been terminated due to original 2 week suspension and then confirmation.
Which is correct?
