Won't go into too much detail, but I could do with checking the veracity of a residence permit and was wondering whether anyone's any experience of so doing.

I've a residence permit for a client but the dates are extremely strange and if I can smell a rat a tribunal almost certainly will.

Nationality? What sort of permit and issued by whom?

Have you looked on the Borders Agency (or whatever IND call themselves this week) website?

Polish, in Uk and working continually from 2000 to 2007 so exempt from the worker registration scheme.

I've not enough info yet to contact Borders Agency apparently there's a unique reference person and I can't identify it from the residence card.

I was thinking of the website to see if there was any general information eg what the real thing looks like.

It does look like the real thing, it's not the first one I've seen, however I've also seen some quite persuasive driving licences and insurance documents in my time and the residence permits aren't as complex a design so as to, errm, imitate...
