A8 national

I do get them......what does anyone think about this one?

Client is A8 national, registered under WRS scheme from 01/04/08.
Told employer she was pregnant in March 09 - employer promptly took her off her duties ( factory work ) and said would find lighter work for her but never did. Her contract was never terminated but her last paid employment was on 11/03/09, 3 weeks short of the full year.

She claimed JSA on 04/06/09, now refused as hasn't done one year under WRS.

Putting aside the employment issues in this case, I think it is arguable that she remained under a contract of employment, and thus covered by WRS, until she terminated it effectively by claiming JSA on 04/06/09.

Don't think claiming JSA would terminate her employment. Did she start working on 1-4-08 or did she register a bit late? Did she talk to the employer again and ask about the lighter work?
